Meet Rachel Benavidez, LMFT 139106, PMH-C
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

As a perinatal therapist, I will work to reduce anxiety and depression that comes with pregnancy and postpartum healing. I want to collaborate together on addressing the issues you may be battling such as, guilt and shame about motherhood, the challenges of motherhood and navigating traumatic experiences.

I value working alI individuals within the perinatal community (LGBTQ+, partners, adoptive families, women). I feel that there is a lack of support surrounding the various experiences of pregnancy or parenthood- which can be overwhelming! My goal is to create a supportive healing environment for all.

My
Story

Getting to Know Me.
I have over six years of experience as a mental health therapist specializing in trauma and child development, starting my career with adoptive families. I later focused healing childhood trauma for both children and mothers. Personally, I faced prenatal challenges and dealt with depression anxiety after the birth of my first child, but I found a wonderful counselor who guided me through motherhood. This combination of professional and personal experiences ignited my passion for helping other feel less isolated in the emotional journey of motherhood.
