Therapeutic Approach
I possess an trauma-informed approach and I am rooted in attachment theory. Attachment theory claims our mental health is rooted in the early interactions with our caregivers and how our caregivers met our emotional and physical needs. I also believe I that all individuals have the strength to heal when given the opportunity, guidance, and tools to grow. My therapeutic approach relies upon cultural humility, empathic attunement, and a trauma-informed lens to align with your individual and family needs.
Cultural Humility: One's culture, race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual preference, socioeconomic status, geographic location, as well as one's life experiences impact us and create our unique perspectives throughout life's journey.

Empathic Attunement: Attunement is a key factor toward healing and understanding. I work toward joining you in a nonjudgemental way to understand you and your experience.
Trauma-Informed: Adverse experiences throughout life and past generations have a lasting impact on our well-being. Adverse experiences that occur during childhood, destabilize a child’s early sense of self, safety, and belonging. Later in life, traumatic experiences increase risky behaviors, develop chronic substance use disorders, or lose their ability to develop meaningful social and emotional bonds. Healing happens when we recognize the symptoms of adverse experiences and work toward preventing future adverse experiences.
